Considering using this in my new build combined with old legacy parts

i7 920
Asus P6T (vanilla)
6gb DDR3 1600 (Corsair XMS3)
eVGA 8800GTS 320MB
150GB WD Raptor
36GB WD Raptor
500GB Maxtor
Pioneeer DVDR
SB Audigy2

either a TRUE120 RT1366 (dual fan config) or CM V8 (still deciding on which cooler to go with)

i think there will be enough power but i wanted to double check, also want to make sure i have a little head room, so maybe i should go with the hx620?

You''ll be good to go with the 520HX. Hell you can get the GTX260 and OC that Core i7 and you'll still be good with the 520HX.

You will be fine with the HX520. I had one and it worked flawlessly and the fan on it ran quiet. But if you want more head room the HX620 would be nice.

a 500W unit is still plenty of power for almost any gpu config you can dream up.

I'm running i7 920@4ghz (1.31vcore) + 280gtx on BFG 550 w/o any issues, pulls around 350-370 from the wall under load, so any good quality 500w psu will do just fine unless you go for SLI, and even then, I think you'll be fine with two 8800gts
