Having just upgraded my workstation, I decided to give my old one to my daughter for her 13th birthday.

Specs:
dual Prestonia Xeon @ 3.06GHz 533MHz FSB
Intel SE7505VB2 mobo
2G Crucial ECC DDR
Four Western Digital 74G Raptors in RAID 10 with 3Ware Escalade 8506
M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound
and I swapped out the Matrox Parhelia for a Radeon 2600 512M AGP

What? Don't all 13 year old girls have dual Xeon workstations?

Anyhow, I took the whole machine down to the sign shop that did the work on my trucks and Tower of RagE machine and here is what they came up with. Great work again!

The CRT is just an old dog I have at the shop as a tester/spare. She has a Samsung LCD TV for a display.

I am giving her the Lachesis, though. Never could get used to the "humpy" shape. Replaced it with a 2007 CE Boomslang.

and is it paint or vinyl?

edit: no power connector so i take that back.
 
doh guess i was still kind of shocked when I saw an m-audio sound card in a 13 year old girls computer. and i didnt ask anything about cpu?:confused:

That picture I posted of the guts yesterday was bugging me so tonight I took some time and straightened out the wiring.

try listening to 3 different jonas brothers music videos while downloading all the songs from the latest taylor swift album. very cpu intensive.

Well, she's been running on a P3 @ 800 on a P2B w/ GeForce DDR vid that I built for her sixth birthday so she's due. This should be enough horsepower to tide her over for the next seven years :p
