I'm designing a new network for my company and I'm running into a problem. I can't decide what to put where. This is the hardware I will be working with:
Comcast SMC Business router with five static IPs
an ATM DSL connection with a static IP.
Cisco 2811 router
Sonicwall NSA2400.

A few things to keep in mind the cable connection is our main connection and the dsl is the backup. It is currently set so that we failover to DSL if there is no connectivity through cable. We also have remote offices and equipment that I would need to VPN connectivity to the main site. My current design is to have the SMC router and dsl connect to the sonicwall then have the sonicwall connected to the 2811. Ideally would like to have the VPN tunnel endpoint be in the 2811. Any suggestions?

Toss the Sonicwall and load-balance/failover with the two ISPs connecting to the 1811. Set up VPNs and IOS firewall to replace the Sonicwall functionality.

Sounds like you have a case of the Mondays!

I'm curious as to why you would want him to toss the firewall?

He's not. Vito suggested using the Cisco IOS Firewall which comes with the 1811.
