Hi there.
Like the title says, i was wondering if Win 7 32 bit takes advantage of 4GB System ram ?
Not sharing ram with Video Card because i have a 4770 installed.

The reason i am asking. Alot of my work programs are 32 bit, some programs have issues or i have work around 64 to get them to work. So i was thinking maybe downsizing to 32 bit and have all the program get along but, then i was wondering if 32bit win 7 has the same issue as Vista 32 not using all 4GB

Let me know and enlighten me ^^

No it doesn't. It just reports 4GB of RAM but doesn't actually let you use 4GB of RAM.

$10 says this become a very very long thread with flames.

huh why ? Did i say something wrong ?

Thanks for the info,... though

Can a admin please lock the thread ?

Past experience tells me that whenever a thread is started about a 32bit Windows OS' ability or inability to use more than 3.5GB of RAM tends to degrade/downspiral as people say yes it's possible or say no it's not possible. Etc, etc. Then it becomes a huge debate with no clear answer and with people more confused that before.
