Fan dying on my cnps9500, ghetto replacement ?

Recently I've encountered some weird "cricket" noise from my pc, it started with only like 2 mins every hour, then every 15 mins for a couple of mins, to now where it's 5 mins of noise and two mins of silence, I have narrowed it down to be the fan on my cnps9500, past two days it has gotten worse, it's not only extremely annoying, there is also the fear of the fan dying while I'm not at the pc.

If I turn the rpm all the way down through fanmate2 the "crickets" equally becomes slower, then it stops, but then my cpu gets very hot with closed case, then I turn the rmp up and the sound comes back.

Have anyone replaced the fan on a cnps9500 ?
Anyone seen a ghetto mod for cnps9500 ?
How long will it take until the fan completely craps out ?

Only other hsf I got is the stock AMD cooler with the heatpipes (which I never used), should I put that on ASAP before the cnps9500 fan craps out ?
