File transfer, old HD to new PC?

Kind of new with this, but what is a good way to transfer files from and old dead PC with HD removed and placed in an external usb enclosure to a new PC. Old machine had Vista new machine has Win7. Laptops

Take ownership of the file system on the external drive as whatever user you are using, and copy whatever you want.

Is there like a program I can use? I noticed Win7 comes with Easy File Transfer, but have not used it before.

Just do what nessus said and take ownership of the filesystem on the external drive and copy the files over. It doesn't get much easier than that.

Ok will do. Anything special about transfering Outlook data. I have done Outlook Express and Windows mail imports/exports before.
