flash x800 to x800xl

they are the same cores both r430.

the normal x800 is just a cut down version of the x800xl

I thought the x800XL was made with like .11 manufacturing process and the x800 is .13?

the x800 is .11 and the x800xl is .11 also. i had an x800 and flashed it with another x800xl biosbut it didnt take, the core and mem speed stayed intact but the pipes ar elaser cut on the PCB, you need to hardmod it, the extra 4 pipes wont open .

actually, the creator of rivatuner is trying to find a way of making these cards softmod, i read his thread and he has done research on them aswell. Apparently, these cards are locked on-die which means tht they cant be unlocked through bios flash, hardmod or laser shortning
