If prices are too high, please make me an offer, all of it is just taking up space.

how much and where could i get mobo's for the itanium?

and would they run linux?

To buy a mobo new would costs thousands and you wouldn't find it. However, you may find it VERY cheap like these CPUs here. However, be aware that it needs special case and PSU and software for it IS NOT FREE and not available..

Titanium bump!

linux distros here - http://www.ia64-linux.org/distros.html

You may be able to find a machine on ebay (they seem to be selling pretty cheap when you can find a slower one) and use these cpus for an upgrade path. I picked them up out of the geekness factor and never did anything with them. Do know that these are Itaniums and will not fit the Itanium 2 socket.

I'm still flexible on the price though if someone wants them just for the heatsinks or whatever.
