I have an old Dell 1907fp with a samsung TN panel.
It's a matte screen, and viewing angle is actually quite good at 170* above the monitor.
A picture pretty much maintains most of its color.
I have a laptop with a glossy widescreen TN samsung panel, and viewing angles are absolute shit.
Viewing angle is 110* before the whole screen starts to color shift and become colorless mess.
Is it the glossy layer that's causing this? Or are laptop panels not designed to have large viewing angles?
