well i truly have got an old unit now.i got this yesterday for fairly cheap.got it home hooked it up and the sound is so sweet.its a kenwood ka-3700 integrated amp.
So how are you powering the passive subwoofer? Does the sub have a built-in crossover? I bought a subwoofer and a cabinet (home use not car) and I'm having trouble powering it since it just has the woofer and a box and powering it from my receiver's 'B' outputs just yields in a crappy sounding full range speaker. Sorry for the mini threadjack I'm just curious how you're powering it and still having it act as a sub.
yeah it has a crossover in it.the amp is powering it and the main speakers.has two sets of speaker terminals on the back.one from the amp and the other to the speakers.
you need something like this to get that to sound proper.is your sub a dual voice coil if so this will work.
