If you were concerned over GamesSpy shuttering its multiplayer client service, fear not: GameSpy has your back and is here to fill the void with its free replacement, GameRanger.

GameRanger is a multiplayer service which provides access to multiplayer without server support, and its for free.

Actually I am hosting a LAN at the end of this month and we are playing Halo 1, Q3, UT99 and other totally awesome games. Nostalgia LAN 2014!
