Hard Resets ..

Alright i built my athlon 64 rig last... Fall/ Winter ( specs in sig , Overclocks are now stock )

Heres the problem , it resets itself from time to time now, playing Splinter Cell and blam resets and is fine for a few hours to a few days

happens when im surfing the web , chatting .. opening Winamp etc

any ideas?

Power Supply and memory are the 2 culprits that come to my mind. Try running memtest86 on that rig to see if it comes up with anything.

If you have XP, turn off automatic restarts in the system properties advanced tab startup and recovery settings.

If it makes kinda a popping noise when it does it, probably the PSU.

temps are fine , icept ram has always been pretty darn hot.. ill look into other sugesstions
