HDTV has a chipped screen now

tonight something hit my screen and left a small chip in the glass. will this be a issue down the road?

yeah it all depends on where, how big, and how deep the chip is... along with what type of TV you have. i'm guessing it won't be an issue though.

What type of HDTV? If plasma then you may have a problem.

If it's a plasma wouldn't it be plastic and not glass for the surface? I don't think they use glass on projections sets and flat panel displays.

Plasmas use glass fronts and LCD panels are usually plastic faced. Plasmas usually have a treated front much like a CRT monitor. When he said chip I thought plasma immediately.
