so i made a thread a while ago, and then kinda dissapeared.
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1089636

those of you who know me well probably know why i dissapeared.........

first off, check out the SPD! quite cool

then, some real overclocking results. no, i'm nowhere near done, but this is an accumulation of a few day's worth of work :p

my preferred testing system is an AM2:
3400+ Sempron
K9N Neo Platinum
OCZ Powerstream 420

That means no testing with any primary timings at 2 :(

My results:
Getting started, tweaking for maximum mhz at 2.0v:

380.5 MHz@ 3-3-3-8

491.8MHZ @ 4-4-3-7

544.9MHz @ 5-5-4-7

555.8MHz @ 5-5-4-5
<- i know, no way did i think ddr2-1110 would be possible with a mere 2.0v!

maximum mhz at 2.4v:

420MHz @ 3-3-3-8

553.1MHz @ 4-4-3-18 (Trc 11  )

maximum mhz at 2.6v:

580.3MHz @ 4-4-3-18 (8m)

maximum mhz at 2.75v:

455.2MHz @ 3-3-3-18

600.8MHz @ 4-4-3-18 (8m - CPU limited)

now we know why they call you the freelance overclocker. intereseting results

That's insane....I should try loosening the timings on my G.Skill DDR500 and uppping the volts, I hear this will do 293MHz....*cries over having DDR1*

wow, thats interesting. hmm, what kind of voltage can it take?

DDR1 usualy runs between 2.4 and 2.8v stock, and is safe to between 3.2 and 3.5v

if it's the HZ, over 2.8v isn't really wise

for ddr2, micron D9GMH is what these sticks have. no idea what the max 24/7 is, but i've seen people benching at 3.1v
so i figure 2.6-2.8v is actually somewhat safe...... despite the 1.8v stock voltage. :p :D

Benching at 3.1v on DDR2? Almost sounds like someone thinks the "safe" voltage on DDR2 is the same as DDR1.

Nice SPD Mark, is that a software trick, or did Team Xtreem actually give you EclipseOC RAM? :) Got any cheap DDR to sell me? I want to try memory overclocking, but this OCZ memory is trash for overclocking fun.

Guess where he got that title from :)

it was supposed to come that way, but one of the sticks was a little messed up. i fixed it and now that's what the SPD reads
and all the ddr1 i don't want has already left. still got 5gb, but 2 for my rig, 2 for sarah's rig and 1 for my mom's.. :p

You should just give me half your systems RAM, you don't need 2gb :)

Nah, I'm actually in for an HDD right now... want more space

But that is pretty cool that you have that SPD specially for you.
