Should I jump the gun for $250 canadian? Local retailer doing blowout. IS IT WORTH IT FROM A 8800GTS???
 
Since I'm in the process of upgrading(building a new system) to replace my very old old PIII 1 ghz dual system,if that was $250 US I would jump on that if it were me,since I will be needing a new video card to replace my Geforce 3 64 meg card :rofl:
 
The easiest way to know is to check a lot of online retailers and see what the typical price for the GTX 280 is. You should be able to judge a good "deal" for $250 CAD based on other prices.
 
That's a great price. Since the 280 has been replaced by the 285, retailers are increasing prices on remaining stock.
