hooking up front esata

I'm planning a new build with the Zalman Z7 Plus case that has front eSATA. I was wondering how I would connect this. Would I just connect it to the SATA ports or do I need another dedicated eSATA port for it?

I'm using a MSI 760GM-E51board which already has an eSATA port in the back panel I/O

Yep. Only the external cable needs to be eSATA (meaning it's shielded). Everything on the inside is just regular old SATA.

Using hot-plugging just needs SATA controller to be in native/AHCI mode instead of IDE-emulation.
