I don't know where to start on a Flash site.

I haven't done any web authoring for a LOOONG (pre Dreamweaver) time and I need to build a self promotional website preferably with flash. I know the basics of flash, but I want to build something complicated. kinda like this: http://www.deathcabforcutie.com/ Where do I even begin?

Look into buying a template, hyper-templates.com or templatesweb.com for example. Then make the changes to it, etc.

template? uggh. I don't wanna go there. I actually wanna learn something from doing it. I'm all about print design and I wanna get back in to digital design.

Well you will learn something, it will get your feet wet in it, and then you can create your own, get ideas, etc.
