I'm having some fairly astonishing results here. I've been gaming most of the day since I posted earlier with an AS SSD score of 331. I hadn't rebooted but figured I'd run a benchmark and see if there was any movement toward the 341 score I had with the 1043 driver.

Here's what I got:
10.0.0.1046%20WHQL%20%2B%208hrs.png
10.0.0.1046%20WHQL%20%2B%208hrs%20cdm.png

I figure that can't be right, something must be cached or fubar'd in some way. So I reboot and get this:
10.0.0.1046%20WHQL%20%2B%208.1hrs.png
10.0.0.1046%20WHQL%20%2B%208.1hrs%20cdm.png

Wow, another reboot and this:
10.0.0.1046%20WHQL%20%2B%208.2hrs.png
10.0.0.1046%20WHQL%20%2B%208.2hrs%20cdm.png

No, no documentation.

I can't also help but wonder if I've had something in my system set up wrong and this driver magically fixed it. I didn't do anything other than click on the installer.

I'm curious if someone else can post a benchmark for 2x X25-M in RAID0 to compare.

Blue Falcon - what driver is that with, and has your performance always been around that point with the RAID0 ?

That was yesterday with the 10.0.0.46 driver... before that driver I was running the 10.0.0.42.

That's with 2 - 80GB X25-M G2 drives in a full capacity RAID0 array. The array is about a month old and the system is running at least 12 hours a day.

Unfortunately I don't have any older AS SSD runs to compare with, although I might be able to rustle up some older CrystalDiskMark screens.

EDIT: Some CDM scores for comparison:

CDM 100MB bench with RST 9.x drivers. Same two SSDs only a 130GB Array (left a 20GB dead zone) at about 1 month old:

Flash forward to today, CDM 100MB bench with RST 10.0.0.46 drivers. Same two SSDs, 3 week old full capacity RAID0 array:

Is there a new option ROM to accompany it or just drivers? Often times they match up but I haven't seen a 10.0 option ROM...

More benches, this time ATTO.

I haven't seen a new ROM since 8.0.0.1038... even a brand new Gigabyte P55 board I just got has that on it.

EDIT: Scratch that, did some investigating and it looks like the latest is 9.6.0.1014... in fact I just modded it into the BIOS on my own Gigabyte EP45-UD3P

At +36 hours things continue to improve:

Any estimate when these might be up on the Intel site?
Probably not any time in the near future, more than a month at least.

Edit: I've actually noticed no visible improvements on AS SSD or Crystal Disk, in fact I'm slower than my original benchmarks, which makes sense due to me being 50% more full. But seems like these drivers don't care as much for me.

Is this driver for specific motherboard chipsets and/or ssd drives?

What chipsets and/or drives are supported?

Nothing seems to have changed but the version number. Didn't even have to rebuild my RAID0 array which is always a good thing.

There doesn't seem to be any increase or decrease in performance but then again I'm using a 2x80GB SSD array so it's already fast as hell. :)

Well, after 6 weeks it seems to have fallen back a bit. Multiple runs are all within a few points of 340.
