Planning to build next rig, and got a question about what type of memory I need to buy.
Since this is first time I will use 64 bit windows OS, not sure if it is okay to use unregistered memory...
Any input would be appreciated..

You can use standard unbuffered, non registered, and non ECC memory with XP 64bit or Vista 64bit.
There is no need to change your memory going from a 32bit OS, other than maybe go to >4Gb! :)

the type of memory you need is determined by the motherboard, not the operating system :)
