Jtextarea

Hi, I'm trying to get a line of text to display like:

5+5
and then skip a line to
10

x.settext deletes my original string but I want it to keep adding to the lines (it's scrollable) help would be appreciated.

I dunno java, but a google for Jtextarea brought up the java documentation for it.

I then notice that the first method listed is append()
