Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1 + Windows 7/Creative Speaker Test

This may just be the way things always were, but I recently tried a speaker test using the windows 7 sound panel, and also the creative x-fi control panel speaker test, in both cases, my sub doesn't seem to respond.

However, I tried playing some music and movies, and my sub is definitely working as there is output, and I can adjust subwoofer level using the klipsch control pod.

Can someone with the same setup verify for me?

(Also tried my onboard sound, and got the same result).

I had a problem just like this. Are you using Bass Redirect from the Creative panel? If you are, turn it off.

Something similar I had happen to me was my sub wouldn't turn on in the halo sound test but I know it works fine because I can hear it in everything else. Maybe the tests just don't like your sub? Don't really have a solution but your not alone.
