toshiba m45-s165. XP home. Since yesterday the lcd will not turn off after its timed interval (5min) Have tried everything I can think of by turning of toshiba power saver and just using the windows power manager, no luck. Change power setting profiles, no luck. Hard drive is now constantly active also since yesterday. Found one of the svchost activating in task panel ended it and hd activity ended. My problem there is I do not know how to figure out what the svchost controls or how to fix. Tried process explorer but it is foreign to me. Virus scanner (kaspersky), adware/spywate (spyboy&adware) come up clean. Any ideas?
