Hi,
I just purchased a new Canon scanner, the Lide 90 model. I installed the driver on the CD to my Vista Home Premium SP1 32bit system. I then connected the scanner and try to do a sample scan. Everything is fine except for one fact : I can't scan at anything higher than 600dpi ! I checked the scanner settings in Control Panel and it list the resolution as 0 x 0 dpi .
I thought this is a Vista specific problem, so I tried installing it on WinXP with SP2 ( same PC , different hard disk ) . This time the control panel scanner applet show the correct settings 2400 x 4800 dpi optical resolution. However, I still can't scan at anything higer than 600 dpi. I f I set the scan resolution to 1200 dpi, it resets it back to 600 dpi.
Anyone know why this is happening ? Is this a software/driver or hardware related issues ? I already checked for the latest driver using windows update but there aren't any.

Thanks for any help.
