Ever since I installed a new kernel yesterday I am having problem with my linux folder. I was running 2.6.20-1, upgraded to 2.6.21-1, got a kernel panic and downgraded to 2.6-20-1 again.

Now, whenever I run the FAH client, I get this:
Code:
FahCore_a1.exe[4456]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip 0000000000000000 rsp 0000000407fe498 error 14
FahCore_a1.exe[6111]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip 0000000000000000 rsp 0000000407fe498 error 14
FahCore_a1.exe[6109]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip 0000000000000000 rsp 0000000407fe498 error 14

Any suggestions?

I don't run the Linux client, so this is purely speculation, but did you try replacing the FAHcore_a1.exe file?

Easier to do is to clean the folder and reinstall the SMP client. Easy to do with ./finstall smp.

I had a similar issue with some file rights being messed up with a update to Ubuntu 7.04 and it's resolved by redoing the installation.

thanks for the ideas. After memtest is done (to be sure) I will reinstall the client

bleh did not fix it. time for a fscking reinstall :/
