Looking for something possibly better than this Inspiron 6400

Price can't break $1000 after shipping and taxes.

Laptop is for general use as well as light gaming. Screen needs to be 14" to 15". There must also be a warranty that is at least 2 years long with longer being a big plus.

I have this configured at dell for about $900 after taxes and shipping...

Core Duo 1.73Ghz
15" XGA
80Gb 5400rpm hard drive.
1Gb (2dimm) ddr2-533
x1400 256Mb
3 year on site
It also comes with a $70 coupon to buy whatever from dell's site.

Before I buy I am wondering if there is something better out there for under $1000?

Thats a sweet deal from Dell and you cant beat the big name covering the warranty. Seeing smaller vendors like Monarch go out of the blue makes me wonder about an Everex.
