I am wondering which version of Spectraview comes bundled with the 2490. there is an approximate $300 difference in price when getting the SV monitor, but when looking at the NEC site for Spectraview software to buy separately - there's Spectraview II for $169 and a Spectraview Kit for $399.

Clearly if it is the first, why by the SV monitor.

the NEC site does not tell you which version comes bundled.

any info would be much appreciated!

SV display comes with the software and the colorimeter in the US which is what comes in the kit.

Thanks Travbomb. i actually just got my 2490 today and have just turned it on. it's great apart from one major issue - the bottom third (and to the right side) or so of the screen seems to fade to a yellowish tint. will this change when i calibrate, or did i just get a lemon and should not waste time calibrating?!! this is the kind of issue i read about the Apple LCDs having and didn't think it would be happening on this much higher end monitor. ugh.

the only other issue i am having is that small text/lines are not as smooth as the CRT i replaced - is that just the norm with LCDs?

thanks.
