Got a question for the office here. Yesterday our computer which acted as the printer server got hit by a virus and now, we can't find the printer software and drivers since its too old. I was wondering, is it possible to get a network printer server without having the software/drivers for the printer and still get it to work? As in, can we simply connect the printer to the network printer server (which is connected to the router) and have it work.

use MS print migrator to backup the printers then restore to a new print server. Update your clients and your GTG

Should be able to attach it to a print server, IP based, and just change the ports on all your workstations to the new IP port. It won't need to reconfigure drivers on the workstations.
