Okay...

So right now, my network is as follows:

Internet
|
Westell 327W (4 ethernet ports)
|
My computer | D-Link DI-524

The D-Link is connected via a cable from one of it's ethernet ports (not the WAN one) to one of the ethernet ports on the modem. The problem is, I can't ping to the D-Link. Is there any way to do that?

Have you changed the IP of the DLink to match the subnet used by the modem?

Is that DLink a router or AP? Is DHCP enabled on the DLink?

It seems the Westell is a modem/router combo, and the D-link is a wireless router. Correct?

I would think you need to either use the WAN port on the D-link, or use a null/crossover cable with non-WAN port.

Some D-link routers will not respond to ping requests until after a firmware upgrade, otherwise its an on/off setting in the router setup.
