If you are installing the X-25 in a laptop, write down the information on the drive (in case you need to do an RMA). I thought I could just use the serial number off of the box, but apparently not.

Here is the information Intel wanted for my RMA:

Model: (Starts with SSDS, this info is on the box)
ISN: (Starts wtih TVEM or TVDO)
SA: ?
PBA: ?

I wanted to get my RMA before Intel closed for Friday, and then remove the SSD from my laptop over the weekend. They wouldn't issue the RMA without the info. I wish I had written it down. No biggie. I know a lot of laptop's have a slide-out tray for easy HDD access. My laptop is an ultra-thin, and it takes maybe an hour or two to swap a drive.

intel CS is horrible.

i had to go through the same shit plus more. you'd think the s/n on the box would match the s/n on the drive. not only that, but they need 5 different numbers in order to issue an RMA. serious wtf, intel.
