They are also selling Connect3d x800xt's for $580. Why ATI's card is $120 more boggles my mind.

That would be supply and demand. NewEgg knows they're only going to get a handfull of these and there are enough people willing to pay that much who must have the best.
 
holly crap thats so much money. it sure is a nice video card though, no complaints here
 
look at hte pcitures of the ati one.. what kind of power conenctor is that? it def looks non standard...
