PS2 dvd password

My nephew has a password on his PS2 for view DVDs. He doesn't recall setting one or knows what it is. How can you reset it?

Hmm... I'd try 0000 or xxxx whatever the password format is.
It's probably set on by default.

Nope. That's the first thing I tried.

I found out though, here's how:

1. Once your on the screen to input the password, you hit "select".
2. Then input the universal password to delete your old password "7444"
3. It deletes and tells you its sucessful and you put in your new password.
