Question about geil golden dragon

the plasticy covers where the image is, how does that work? is it like a heatspreader at all? would putting heatspreaders on this ram benefit at all? would it be safe to even put heatspreaders on the ram with the plasticy stuff?

doesn't need heatspreaders, but if u want, u'll have to remove plastic covers to put one on... But if u do be careful, cause u can crush the memory all to easily, those are not regular type memory chips.

Meh,i have the same platicky thing on my Geil memory and im afraid to rip it off. If it didnt come with spreaders then it probably doesnt require them.

My friend and I have the same RAM, I am pretty sure he overclocked it and although the ram dosen't over clock that well it dosen't need heat spreaders.
