I have a first gen raptor 74gb and I am thinking of using it for Virtual PC hard drives as it's faster and can handle more I/O requests, originally I was just going to use it as my OS drive and call it good.
However, when I tried to install Vista x64 on to it, it installed ok but then during the first boot up, it would just BSOD, reboot and then BSOD again and that is how it stayed, looping like that. I know the rule that Vista doesn't run well with more then 3gb of RAM installed on nvidia chipsets so I only had 2gb in but still.
WD Diag tools said the drive was fine and no errors, should I jsut RMA it anyways? I still have till 09 under warranty on this drive. Any othe clue as to why it would act this way?
