I've got a little pet peeve about most keyboards sold - those damn function keys. They make it so that the default for the function keys isn't the normal F1-12, but the silly open, close etc. buttons, which I hate. I guess it's meant for those who don't game and dont' know key combos for the same things.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to hard wire the f-lock key to be on. Or is it related to an IC or something?

I've also wondered this. Even if we can just find a way to turn it on by default. I'm going to have to research now :D

Thanks for that fat-tony. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who cares about this. It's too bad there's not a slightly better option, but oh well. I've kept to using my 4 year old crusty keyboard because I couldn't get one that suited my needs (split design, media keys, no f-lock crap).
