Hi,

I recently installed and played both CnC and Supreme Commander. It appears that one of these titles installed some SecuRom software on my PC. Apparently, it uses malformed filenames to prevent me -the owner of the system- from removing these files. This in itself is an annoyance, however the really obnoxious thing is that it breaks my roaming profiles, since these files cannot be copied back to the server. I do wonder which <deleted> had the great idea to put this info in %appdata% in the first place and how they achieved Windows certification with that, but I digress.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can finally rid myself of this junk? I'd prefer not having to reinstall...

nice, it appears that securom installed some context menu for me too:

lovely.

Doesn't the newest supcom patch disable the secuROM check? I'm pretty sure it does, so removing it will still let you at least play supcom.
