Slow down when using 2 drives connected to USB 3.0 Hub

Hello,

I would like buy a 4 port USB 3.0 hub.

I was concerned that there would be a speed slowdown when using 2 drives connected to the USB 3.0 Hub at the same time.

Is this true?

Any other negatives to getting a USB 3.0 Hub?

yes because you are sharing a single source... now how much would depend on what drives you connect to it and also the quality of the chips used in the USB , since most benchs i have seen show about 124Mb/s speeds, 2 new drives will be fighting for speeds

Thanks. So would it be better to buy another USB 3.0 Card or get a USB 3.0 Hub? Would the speed decrease if I use only one drive connected to the USB 3.0 Hub?
