Just ordered: BFG 6800GT from outpost.com :D Upgrading from 9800 Pro

Plan on sticking with it for at LEAST 18months.
 
In my sig....also thinking about getting a x800,....not sure yet....will wait for a bit and wait for prices and quantity to level out.....stll need to upgrade both of those boards too. :p

Just ordered a Gainward FX5900XT 1100 GS from the 'egg last week.

Upgrade from a 4 year old GF3 in sig....

...xmas/January rolls around I will put the 5900 in wifes computer and aim towards a 6800.

seriously though, its kind of foolish to spend $300+ on a video card, because they become obsolete SO quickly
 
I went from MSI Nvidia FX 5600 Non Ultra to MSI ATI 9800 Pro (360 Core - Says MSI 9800 XT in device manager without any modification of drivers or bios)
 
From a GeForce 3 to a 9800 pro (for a few days) to a 9800XT....

I bought the BFG 6800 Ultra OC from GameVE.com. It was backordered, but I'm not in a hurry really so its ok. I just want it in time for HL2 and Doom 3.
 
Just changed my order from BFG to eVGA since Outpost screwed up.

First time I've ever bought straight from a manufacturer before :eek:

Bought up a 9800PRO with Arctic Cooler and OCZ Ramsinks from Nexx to replace my GF4 TI 4200.

Got it last Wednesday! Have it running in my computer stable at 440/390 in 3D games so I am very happy! :D Thanks Nexx!

I'll probably jump on a 6800GT when it drops around $250 bucks.
 
still thinking whether to go for a 9800Pro or 6800. Upgrading from a 5900NU, which oc's to only 430core/no oc on memory, even when WATERCOOLED :mad: :mad: :mad: . I dont usually spend over $200, but i think i mite go for tha 6800 this time.

I went for the abit 5900 when they first came out(and the benchmarks looked good too, with future performance boosting driver promises), for $399. they dropped to $220~ within 6 months time, so im NEVER getting another $400-500 card again. :D

ill prolly get a 6800 when they come down to 230-240 ish, which should be in a couple of months time. they'r $275 now. is BFG selling a 6800OC? any links to a store selling them?
 
I started with preordering the X800XT PE from best buy US from a guy at Ebay.

Then I preordered a 6800 ULTRA. It got delayed so I cancelled that one.

After a long wait I finally got my X800XT PE last week. At that moment I had realized my Vapochill XE wasn´t compatible with my Socket A mainboard so I had already decided getting the A64 system in my sig.

So I sold that just a few days ago and now I have preordered an 6800 ULTRA. Looks to be shipping the 15th the earliest but I guess it will take about that time to get my A64 system shipped to Sweden too.

So we will see if I end up with this Visiontek or Albatron 6800 ULTRA (whichever they get first) or something else.

5900 6418 with massive overclock on card and system

6800 GT 11812 at Ultra speeds.

I know, its a synthetic bench, but its a good indicator of the gains without having to spend 2 hours in other benchmarks.
 
Asus TI4200Plus to a BBATI 9800Pro-360... :eek:

Went from 40fps in my favourite games (bit old, but can't spare the time for the addiction of new games) to well over 100fps with higher res (pushing max of my lcd). I love it! :D

Once my watercooling stuff comes, it'll be a 128MB 9800XT with a nice OC! :cool:

You paid more than $50 for a 9800se, and you've got the balls to talk about obselete video cards? These new cards will last years, yours was old before it was release.

for you guys who are gamers get out of the dx8 world and get into dx9 of full time aa,af and ps2.0 theirs a whole level of gaming your missing out on.
