Today one of my neighbor brought by her Satellite L645 saying that she could no longer click on anything with the touchpad. (Synaptic)
Trying to gain a consenus on if I should replace the touchpad based on my finding below.
1) the left button does nothing,
2) right button works,
3) cannot tap with the pad even though tapping is enabled,
4) can move the cursor with the pad, but nothing else
5) unistalled device and reinstalled with lastest drivers, still same issues
6) on/off switch works.
7) a mouse works fine
My thoughts are a bad touchpad????? Something I forgot to ask her was if someone maybe spilled somethhing on it. Also on this model the pad surface in built into the palmrest, does the whole palmrest have to be replaced.
