Thanks I'll give it a try and let ya know what happens. This has been bugging me for the past few days. When I typed in tsflash biosname.bin /o it gave me optional flags (as I call them) and /f was not one of them. I did notice that tsflash was made by Award but the Transcend site said not to use the Award flash. I'll try it with the tsflash and if that does not work I'll just install Win2K instead of XP Pro. Apparently the problem only exists for XP users and not Win2k users. Thanks for the tip though.

check to make sure you bios virus protection and flash protection aren't enabled

Don't flash from the Windows Command Prompt- this is not a pure dos environment, nor is it a true one, it is simply emulated.

Follow these steps:

1. Create a bootdisk!!!!!!
2. Boot to the bootdisk
3. Flash
4. Do the three fingered salute.
5. ......
6. Profit
