Does anyone know if we need to install the AMD dual core optimizer in Vista ?

No but it did improve my CS:S video stress test from 38FPS - 105FPS.

Ok I just wanted to know if it actually helped still, or if vista had all the fixes in it.

It helps obviously, at the same settings with SLi in XP I got 158.
So -53 FPS and no SLi or decent drivers. Not too shabby.
