These 10,000 RPM drives are a great and much cheaper alternative to SSD drives.... much more bang, spacewise, for your buck with quicker write/read speeds of the faster 10,000 RPM drives.
Most standard drives are 7200RPM and do not load things nearly as quickly as 10k drives....
Also, incase you get taxed newegg has matched this as well (in case you live in NYC,etc) and get charged tax from amazons deal. Newegg charges tax in California and a couple other states so YMMV depending on location
