Okay my old eyes are not the greatest anymore and I have been looking at the newer atom tablets with full Windows to replace my old transformer tf201. Have an order in for the transformer book 64GB, which is a 1366x768 panel and the same res as my tf201and it works out great. Missed the 299 deals + tax on the book so ordered thru Amazon for 349, no tax.

How is text and such on the higher res screens?

My considerations so far are the HP Omni 10 which is actually a 16x10 panel at 1920x1200. I really like the idea of the additional height of the 16x10 but dont know if I can read things at such a high res. Also so far hp has only trickled out the 32gb models and no 64GB's. the amount of internal storage to me is very inadequate at 32GB . I have seen the 32 going for 399 though, OOS but orderable.

My other consideration is the dell venue 11. Again I really like the larger 11in screen although 16x9 at 1920x1080. The only things turning me away from the dell is price and can I actually read things on a 1920x1080 screen. They are at 499 + tax thru Dell right now an the MS store but the MS store is OOS, but they are offering a 25 Dollar gift card at MS store.

And lastly the Asus transformer book t100 which I do have on order at this time.

Between the dock and accessories I had over 600 in my tf201 and really dont want to put that kind of cash in one again because they become obsolete so quickly. The Tf201 was a nice tablet but had horrible WiFi issues and a high failure rear camera rate.

Thoughts, comments..........

Cheers

Presumably there are text and display settings to adjust size regardless of native resolution. I use medium in win 8.1 because even on a 27" display native 1080p shows up pretty small text and icons for my taste.

It's like sex, without the guilt and softly muttered apology afterwards.

My current laptop is an older 17in gateway FX 7811 with a16x10 panel at 1920x1200 and I have to scale everything up to 125%, that is why I am wondering about those type of resolutions on a 10in screen.
