What is a good sound card that is NOT PCI-E x1?

Thanks to the awesome design of my 790i motherboard, I cannot use the PCI-E x1 slot because it is blocked by the fan coming off the northbridge heat sink. Long story short, I just got some Z-5500s and I am looking for a quality sound card to go with them. I dont want to go cheap either. What do you guys recommend? I was looking at this, but a lot of people are saying it doesn't work well with Vista 64-bit:

I want something that will sound amazing when I play my music, and will work all the time.
