Which Tablet to Buy?

I am thinking of buying my wife a tablet for Christmas. I'm more into laptops and desktops so not that familiar with tablets.

I was thinking of the Amazon Fire but then I read that you cannot get onto Google or Gmail with the Fire?
Just need something that is easy to get onto the internet to pay bills and read Gmail.

Well there are iPad minis and if you want Android any of the Samsung tablets.

Yes the iPad mini might be alright and I was looking at the Samsung tablets too.

I bought her an Apple iPad Mini 2. Hopefully she likes it and uses it.
