Why does Gothic 3 get 5 FPS regardless of settings?

I always get 5FPS according to FRAPS even on the lowest in game settings which is ridiculous considering my hardware. I'm running in compatibility mode for XP SP2 on Vista Ultimate x64.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There ya go, change the font. Problem solved.

Wow. Never heard of a font causing bad FPS before. I have Gothic3 and even if it is buggy it still an ok RPG. I'll have to go over that FAQ because the stuttering and poor FPS is the main reason I don't play it much.
