Why is my 2 port USB 3.0 Card slower than my other 2 Port USB 3.0 Card

Hi,

I had my PC built in Microcenter. I have an Asus P8Z68 Deluxe motherboard.

I have a 2 port USB 3.0 Card in my PC and another 2 Port USB 3.0 Card that I bought separately which Microcenter installed.

I only get about 40-55 mbps transfer speed on one of my 2 port USB 3.0 Card and on my other 2 Port USB 3.0 Card I get as high as 110 mbps.

How come I get much slower transfer speeds on that USB 3.0 Card?

Could it be defective?

Any info is greatly appreciated
