I want to get better at removing ihs's. I tried a 939 awhile back and I ruined it.

So let me know what you have. I am willing to pay $10 shipped for a dead cpu, and $20 for a working one.
Maybe more depending on the cpu. Dead core 2 duo's are perfect, if you have a higher end dead cpu I am willing to pay a bit more for it.

I have an E6320 that i will ship for $25, it SORT OF works, it will go in BIOS, boot, etc, but creates problems when you try to run some programs. it is an engineering sample. PM if interested.
 
FYI, removing Intel and 65nm AMD chips requires more than just a razer blade now. The IHS' are soldered on these days.
 
I know. I removed one the other day.

It came off just fine, it takes a razor blade and heat.

I ruined the cpu though.. well it was already dead. I broke some transistors that were under the ihs. So if it were my cpu.. I would be shit out of luck.
