[H] Quad Displays

I knew I recognized that thing from somewhere.. :}

Cool setup btw. I recently upgraded from 19" to 24" (Dell 2407WFP). Such a huge improvement and I can't imagine going back to 19". 30" must be ultimate :D

My ePenis almost touches the floor now.

Umm...where's the center channel speaker? Should fit nicely under the 30" LCD.

Instead of a different watch for each day of the week; is that a different flash drive for each day of the week?

I'd rather have more displays with no frames between them:

http://brighton.ncsa.uiuc.edu/~prajlich/wall/

For those two lazy to click:
"The NCSA tiled display wall has gone through several iterations. Our newest configuration features a cluster of 40 high-end PCs with Nvidia GeForceFX 5900 graphics connected to 40 NEC VT-540K projectors. The machines are running Linux and are connected together with Myrinet (gigabit networking). The result is one logical display with an aggregate resolution of 8192x3840!"

Holy fuck.

Noticing some color inconsistencies, but still bad-ass.

Quake III FTW!

Where's the Koma letter in frame? "I was going to refund your $15, but instead I will buy a picture frame to put this email into, so I can laugh at you every day while telling you to fuck off.. so, fuck off."

wow... thats rough to tell a person that paid money to help the site.... man... that would piss me off.

Oh well...

That picture wall thing is NICE!

how the hell do you do that.

As stated above, a series of projectors and a computer cluster to operate them, one machine for each projector/display plus one master... anyways.. yeah it's pretty nice but mostly only good for showing 4000 lines of code on a wall and that kind of super detail oriented stuff.. if you wanna game HUGE go with a nice projector... still and all, very bad ass..

When you run low on electricity, do you use those pedal things there on the floor?????

I loved my 1st gen 5.1s but the amp went south one day......Klipsch fixed it and it only lasted two weeks.......good news is they credited me nicely on a 2nd generation set-up.

Yeah, you act like a total jackass and you will get treated like one around here. You being a total prick over and over and not listening to directions from admins and mods ...man...that would piss me off. :)

How much was it?
Was it 10K

I knew i had that pic floating around in a old directory :)

old joke

What's next to the tape gun on your cube wall? Are those the sheets of BFG Mouse Feet that are included with a Ratpadz purchase? You should add that they are "handpacked with care by Kyle Bennett himself" to the ad and watch your sales skyrocket. :D

No. The BFG feet are brownish on clear sheets.

Kinda makes you wonder what the packing tape gun is used for. He does work at home you know. Anyone for a nooner?

And what is that behind the monitors......a mexican beanie-baby iguana?

Here's mine. It is somewhat less spanky than Kyle's.

Pardon the miserable quality of the picture. My camera and I are not great friends. Also, ignore the wiring disaster under the desk.

Congrats on the 4-way getup! If not for some amplifier issues those promedia 5.1's were a really decent set, mine are sitting on a shelf since I'm not paying Klipsch to half-ass repair them again.
I'll contribute my own bit of lava lamp love to the intarweb:

They do make great speakers... I'm using the same set for TV/DVD surround sound and the original 4.1 system (v.2-400, the first ProMedias) for my computer. And then I have the 2.1 and 2.0 Ultra on other computers. My concern is that they haven't been selling the 5.1 Ultra for a while and haven't yet replaced it. Hopefully they haven't abandonded surround sound computer speakers.

Unfortunately, Klipsch has abandoned the Surround Sound Computer Speaker scene. Klipsch 5.1 Ultra's have been discontinued due to "lower cost options available in the market" They are probably pulling the 2.1's out as well. It's a real shame too, I still have my ultra 5.1's and they're still as great as they were 4 years ago. (I switched the two fronts with RSX-5 speakers).

So if you still have your ultra 5.1 promedia's or your original 5.1's, or the Ifi's, hang on to them, because they're not going to be made ever again. That doesn't mean you can't invest in a better Klipsch/Other Brand HT setup with a custom receiver, but nothing will ever beat the price point Klipsch set for quality when it came to these computer speakers.

Those look to be the pedals for one of the Logitech Steering wheels. Doesn't look like the ones for the MOMO though...

Thats what the ones that came with my Logitech MOMO Force look like.

Awesome wheel, BTW. :D

Makes me want to show mine too - not 4 but then I don't do much "work" per se. Bottom is a Dell 2405FPW, top is a Westinghouse 37 720p TV (box below TV is Verizon FIOS HD-DVR, below that upconverting DVD player attached via HDMI), both run off eVGA7800GTX. Upgrade, when it happens, will be to 30ish bottom and 1080p top run off 8800 or better. Sitting down you dont see the wires behind the 24, just the bottom of the bottom shelf.

what looks to be a diploma/degree on your wall is also in the picture :-p

That is actualy my wife's, mine is above it. We have our diploma's stacked two high on the walls in our office. Hopefully soon there will be a fourth one up there and I will be done.

Hornsby's! Have you ever tried Woodchuck?

Been running quads for a few years on my home p.c. Also running six monitors at the office on the same motherboard with good stability. Dig those Intel D975XBX motherboards Kyle, stability from day one. Also using Ultramon on both systems.

Best,

Liquid Cool

Can you take a picture showing the front of the LCDs?
