NCX and company,
Can explain a bit why you rate the Benq EW2740L over the Asus VN279Q? Is it because of Asus' QC issues?
I initially bought the Samsung S27C750P 2 years ago based on your recommendations but was disappointed because I thought it would be a straight upgrade over the...
I'll try and take a picture later but for now here is a representation I made in paint. I'm using a little blue box propped underneath the monitor. I thought at first it might be wobbly but the weight of the monitor and stand keeps it stable.
Hey boys and girls I finally got my hands on this monitor! First the bad. THAT STAND! It's so obnoxious. I promise you one thing, whatever money samsung might have saved by not making it adjustable or vesa compatible they are losing it ten fold in the number of people returning this monitor. You...
NCX, can you talk a bit about how this monitor compares to the Samsung f2380mx? The colors and contrast were so delicious out of the box that I never forgot this monitor but ultimately I brought it back because of the unbearable ghosting. Is the ghosting really noticeable on the S27C750P?
I'm...
Ya it is hot but it is within spec which is between 30-60 degrees. I agree about Crystal Disk Info. I love that program.
Anyways the drive I got is indeed refurbished. My drive has 28,000 hours and the refurb one has 23,000 but the rest of the Smart data has been reset. I cloned my drive onto...
Thanks for the responses. The thing I find weird is how come the drive didn't re-allocate the bad sectors and how come it went from 9 to 4? Is it possible that they were just logical bad sectors and that a format could get rid of them? The drive runs really hot too. The day it crashed it was...
To make a long story short I was having lots of problems with my main 1tb WD caviar black drive. My main OS partition got corrupted and refused to boot into windows. I originally had 9 pending bad sectors then after running HDD regenerator I had 9 uncorrectable bad sectors and after running WD...
I did not ignore specifics. I asked a question as I did not know the answer. Is that not the point of asking a question? I am glad to hear that.
Another question for pree seeing as how you are price conscious and good with math, i'd value your opinion. You recommend the GTX 670 as best bang...
I'm curious what you mean by this. Can you be more specific or provide some examples? I own a GTS 250. Considering it's a rebadged 8800 gtx, it's amazing that it still plays every game out there albeit at lower settings. Before that I had an ati 9800pro so if anybody is the king of holding on to...
Ya good luck with that. 660ti is still atleast 6 months out which = HUGE fail from nvidia. Looks like I'llI have no choice but to pick up a 7850 and call it a day.

NCX, I never did get around to thanking you for your color settings on the LG 2361V monitor. I have been very pleased with it and your settings are one of the main proponents in taking the sting out of returning the F2380MX so...thanks! :D
As for the samsungs, I'd lean towards the c530 myself...
Why do people insist on using cryptic acronyms? What the hell is GPF?
I thought that port forwarding was remedied in one of the patches. Can anyone confirm that it's been fixed? Only 1 hour left on the sale before I have to take the plunge!
Another couple of quality reviews. Well done NCX! I would personally love to read your impressions on the LG W2361V. It's a cheap and easily obtainable monitor. I'd be curious how you rate it compared to the PX2370 and F2380MX.
