The description for that pan is a lot more complicated than it should be, haha. I don't think I'll be able to buy a pump though...they did use that bubble maker and it lowered temps by 4C, I think I'll have two of those and see what happens.
So, I was looking at my old motherboard and I had...
I basically want to redo this project by pudget systems.

The tank they use seems perfect for the job and I think I'll order that. I want to do this project as cheaply as possible so I need some advice. I think I can find mineral oil for about $40...
You sure?
What if I put everything in the main registry on the same partition and had some kind of DOS loader, then I could type in XP.exe or bootcd.exe or something like that? I can't code but that might work off a DOS boot drive with everything there.
I want to put every tool I have on a 4GB flash drive. So far I have my XP SP2 install, which I would like to be bootable for install like the CD, Ultimate Boot CD for tools, and maybe Hiren's boot cd as well. I also want to install Ubuntu or some form of linux onto the flash drive.
I was...
That works for you, why should anyone need to upgrade from a 3.1GHz C2D, that's a great chip.
But for people with outdated tech, planning an upgrade, I think Q6600 is the way to go, I'm getting one to replace my Opty 144 soon.
I ran diskcleanup (Vista), and while cleaning some windows error logs, it started deleting all the files under users, including the desktop and my personal files. My music, installation files, movies, data, everything. I just lost 30GB of data and didn't notice until the next song on my...
Some people are so lazy.
If you want to know the difference between a Core 2 at 2.4GHz, and a Core 2 at 3GHz then look a goddamn review of the E6850 and the E6600.
Both boards are great, and overclocking shouldn't be an issue unless you're using an E6550, in which case the DS3R is slightly better. The Abit has firewire, while the Asus will have better support, and BIOS updates will come regularly and bring new features. I think the Asus is cheaper so...
First of all, this confirms nothing, who knows, maybe G0s can hit 4GHz on water, we know nothing until we see it.
And second, he's using water cooling, 3.5GHz really isn't that great.
At this point, heat becomes an issue long before the individual chip's potential is reached, that's why, with good air cooling, Q6600s go about as high as QX6800, 3-3.4GHz.
